Dopo ho dovuto pure sistemare hostapd:
Dec 12 04:23:26 gentoo hostapd: ath0: DRIVER Error enabling WPA/802.1X!
E ciò era dovuto al mancato caricamento dei moduli wlan_tkip e wlan_xauth di madwifi. Fortuna esiste:
cat /var/log/messages | grep hostap

Con gran fretta e furia ho dovuto updgradare l’hs del mio gateway causa mancanza spazio.

Per il setup wireless ho seguito questa guida sul wiki di gentoo abilitando pero’ WPA e non WEP.
Tips: modificato il demone dhcpd in /etc/conf.d/dhcpd:
DHCPD_IFACE="br0"
Tutto funziona a meraviglia.
